Sharol K. Becker, 86, of Fort Dodge, IA, passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, at Windsor Manor in Webster City, IA. Private family services will be held followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge. 

Sharol was born February 17, 1939, in Pocahontas, IA, the daughter of Elmer H. and Berna (Spencer) Johnson. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1956. On July 15, 1956, she was united in marriage to Hubert (Herb) R. Becker at Riverside Methodist Church in Fort Dodge. Over the years, she worked at the Boston Center, Friendship Haven (laundry) and owned Becker Sanitation (30+ years) until her retirement in 2009. She was a member of the Otho-Kalo Community Church. Sharol was a devoted grandmother, with her grandchildren being entire world. She embraced every moment spent with them, creating cherished memories that will be treasured for generations. She found joy in completing puzzles, solitaire, and tending to her yard. Sharol cherished her memories of fishing trips with her mother and attending Bluegrass Festivals with her husband, experiences that she also shared with her three granddaughters, whom she adored and took everywhere.

Sharol is survived by 3 children: Jesse Becker and wife Lori of Fort Dodge, Dave Becker and wife Mona of Fort Dodge, and Bobby Becker; 3 grandchildren: Tasha Summers and husband Chris of Webster City, Ashley Holder of Fort Dodge, and Magen Becker of Fort Dodge; 7 great grandchildren: Kaden Holder, Michael Summers, Allan Summers, John Summers, Raelynne Brady, Rylie Holder and Wyatt Rentz; and a sister: Pat Trueblood and husband Richard of Webster City. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2018; a son: Frank Alan; and 3 siblings: Elmer Johnson, Imogene Bendixon and Jacqueline McKee. She was also preceded in death by her dog: Ginger.
