Sharon K. Francisco

Sharon K. Francisco, 70, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Thursday, July 25, 2019, at the Paula J. Barber Hospice Home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 S. 9th Street, with Pastor Matthew Manz officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the church service. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Sharon was born August 18, 1948, in Omaha, NE, the daughter of Walter and Shirley (Vesey) Swenson. As an infant, her family moved to Fort Dodge. Sharon graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1967. On October 7, 1979, Sharon was united in marriage to Don Sydney Francisco in Vancouver, WA. The couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Sharon was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed scrap-booking, sewing, birdwatching, baking, cooking and cruising around looking for wildlife.

Sharon is survived by 2 children: Daniel Francisco and Melinda Parsons and husband Jon; 3 grandchildren: Emily, Tristan and Donna; her mother: Shirley Swenson – all of Fort Dodge; and sister: Cindy Arndt and husband Dale of Omaha.

She was preceded in death by her father; her husband in 2015; and a grandson: Carter.
