Sidney "Sid" Mitchell Long

Sidney "Sid" Mitchell Long, age 62 of Lehigh, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at his home. A celebration of life gathering will be held from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Lehigh Senior Citizens Center, 114 Main Street.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.

Sidney Mitchell Long, son of Russell and Beverly (Ford) Long was born on April 6, 1960 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He earned his GED through Denison Job Corp. Sidney worked numerous jobs. His most recent was at Tony's Tire in Webster City until he became disabled.

Sid loved socializing. He enjoyed carving wood, camping and living the farm life. You could often find Sid fabricating anything with a motor.

Sid was so very loved and will be greatly missed.

Sid is survived by his siblings: Debbie Ferguson of Humboldt, Monte Long of Lehigh, Joyce (Jim) Buckendahl of Storm Lake, Rhonda (Greg Ritter) Long of Madrid, Keith (Shelly Gilbertson) Long of Dayton, Jolene (Art) Watson of Madrid and Rod Long of Lehigh. He is also survived by his special friend, Sharon Benson of Duncombe and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; nephew:  Jimmy Cooper; and niece:  April Taylor.
