Terrance A. Burke

Terrance A. Burke, 64, of Pomeroy, IA, and former longtime resident of Fort Dodge, IA, died Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Accura HealthCare of Pomeroy. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date with inurnment at St. Olaf Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.

Terry was born May 17, 1961, in Fort Dodge, the son of Charles L. and Barbara J. (Thompson) Burke. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1979. Terry did construction/general labor in the South before returning to Iowa. In his younger years, he enjoyed wrestling and dirt bikes. He had an extreme love for animals. Terry also enjoyed motorcycles, fishing and above all – music (especially 80’s Rock).

Terry is survived by 4 siblings: Michael “Tony” Burke of Cedar Rapids, IA, Tammy Sheker of Fort Dodge, Trisha Ellis of Palisade, CO and Tiffany Umsted and husband Mark of Fort Dodge. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother: Tim Burke.
