Terry M. Johnson

Terry M. Johnson, 63, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, IA. A private family celebration will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge. 

Terry was born August 30, 1962, in Salina, KS, the son of Otis F. and Jo (McBride) Johnson. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1981. He was a cook and worked at Great Western Dining for several years. Terry enjoyed fishing, car shows, model cars, cooking, family BBQ’s, hunting and collecting guns.

Terry is survived by 7 siblings: Roxanne Urbanek of Salina, KS, Cheryl Gribble of Fort Dodge, Duane Johnson and wife Nancy of Wisconsin, Tina Harrison of Fort Dodge, Colleen Castor of Fort Dodge, James Johnson of Fort Dodge, and Otis Johnson and wife Rose of Fort Dodge. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Otis and Jo Johnson; and 3 siblings: Vickie Jonte, Linda Johnson and Tommy Johnson.
