Thomas H. Ahrens, 45, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Friday, July 24, 2026, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home, 923 1st Avenue South, with Chaplain Gary Snook officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. A private family inurnment will take place at North Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge. T

Thomas Henry was born December 26, 1980, in Fort Dodge, the son of Bruce and Rosie (Echevarria) Ahrens. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High 1999. Thomas married Bonnie Dencklau and to this union two children were born: Lillian and Ryan. The couple later divorced. He then married Amy Livasey and to this union one child was born: Charley. The couple later divorced. Thomas worked various jobs over the years. Thomas was an outstanding wrestler in high school and later became an MMA fighter. He had a big personality and left an impression on everyone he met. Above all, he loved his children.

Thomas is survived by his 3 children: Lillian, Ryan and Charley; his parents: Bruce and Rosie Ahrens of Fort Dodge; and 2 siblings: Kristina Jones and husband David of Humboldt, IA and Nicholas Ahrens and wife Nicole of Fort Dodge. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Betty Ahrens, Robert Ahrens, Charlie Echevarria and Elvira Echevarria.
