Thomas Magoon, 57 of Peoria, AZ died Saturday, December 6, 2003 in Arizona. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 15, 2003 at Bruce’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Harry Imlay officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service time. Interment will be at the Fulton Township Cemetery. It was Tom’s wish to be buried by his father.

Thomas Marvin Magoon was born October 1, 1946 in Ames, Iowa to Lauren and Martha Phelps Magoon. He moved to Webster County as a young child and attended school in Fort Dodge, graduating from FDSH in 1965 and Iowa Central Community College in 1967. He entered the United States Air Force, serving in the states, Italy and Greenland in Strategic Air Command until 1987. Following discharge, he lived in Denver and Arizona.

Tom shared his life with Le Lacey and is survived by her, 3 step-children; Jennifer Lacey, LeAnne Shumaker and her husband Steve, and Vincent Lacey; 3 step-grandchildren, Brianna, Alisha, and Chevy. He is also survived by his mother, Martha Magoon, Fort Dodge; brother, James Magoon, Moorland; 2 sisters, Mary Goodwin and her husband David, Fremont, NB, and Ruth Houston and her husband Dennis of Fort Dodge.

Thomas is preceded in death by his father, Lauren Magoon.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
