Tyler was born July 14, 1976, in Humboldt, IA. He attended Fort Dodge Senior High. Over the years, Tyler worked as a heavy equipment operator in the concrete and construction industry. On December 15, 2018, he was united in marriage to Tanya (Frank) in Fort Dodge. Tyler was a hard worker who loved music, his family, and taking care of his dog & true companion “Oakley”. He enjoyed fishing with his daughter, storm chasing and being in nature. He especially enjoyed all the beautiful things… sunrises, sunsets and the stars. Tyler was a high-strung, goofy practical joker, but above all – he was a die-hard San Francisco 49ers fan!!

Tyler is survived by his wife of 7 years: Tanya Darby of Fort Dodge; his mother: Terrie Spencer of Des Moines, IA; his daughter: Chloe Darby of Fort Dodge; step-children: Luke Jacobson of Fort Dodge, Adam Schwanz and wife Maria of Fort Dodge, and Hailey Schwanz of Fort Dodge; 3 step-grandchildren: Allie, Emma and Reeve; and 5 siblings: Scott Walker and wife Melissa of Fort Dodge, Sean Walker and wife Annette of Fort Dodge, Katie Schmidtke of Des Moines, IA, Samantha Jones of Des Moines and Michael Jones of Florida. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
