Vivian A. Myers, 84, of Fort Dodge, died Monday, July 12, 2004 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2004 at Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center with the Rev. Roger Kurtenbach officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bruce~Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Vivian was born May 8, 1920 the daughter of Robert and Iva (Rice) Kettle in Stanhope. Following the death of her first husband, Verl Edgerton, she was later remarried to Wayne Myers.

Vivian loved to garden and can fresh vegetables. She was always in the mood to kick up her heels and go dancing or go fishing with her children. The aroma of baked goods or a dish filled the house and you always knew a meal would be served when you arrived. Vivian gained a new name from the grandchildren, Grandma Cookie, for there were always cookies in a cookie jar. Vivian was a hard worker all of her life, devoting many years to Friendship Haven as a Certified Medical Aide.

Those thankful for having shared in Vivian’s life are her children; Betty Bergman of Fort Dodge, Wayne (Traudel) Edgerton of Flower Mound, TX, Mike Myers (Loretta) of Fort Dodge, Dale (Jackie) Myers of Fort Dodge, Stan (Bev) Myers of Fort Dodge, Gary Myers and significant other Kim of Fort Dodge, Kathy (Larry) Zimmerman of Fort Dodge; 3 sisters, Roberta Markley of CO, Lorretta Bass of Boone, Bev Taylor of MI; 1 daughter-in-law, Shirley Edgerton; 25 Grandchildren; 40 Great Grandchildren; 8 Great-great Grandchildren.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Raymond Edgerton; siblings, Evelyn Viennece, Viola Anderson and Everett Rice; grandchildren, Troy Myers and Nathan Myers.
