Vivien E. Lucas, 84, of Fort Dodge, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at the Tompkins Memorial Health Center.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2005 at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Rockwell City, with the Rev. Bill Trembly officiating.  Visitation will be held from noon until 1:00 p.m. Friday at Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Vivien was born January 20, 1921 the daughter of Oliver and Elizabeth (Gilman) Browning in Rockwell City, IA.  She later graduated from Rockwell City High School.  On September 27, 1943 Vivien enlisted in the United States Navy serving her country until her honorable discharge on February 3, 1946.  Vivien later went to work at the Fort Dodge Labs in which she dedicated 30 years to being the Personnel Coordinator.  She retired in 1983.

Vivien spent hours tending to her gardens.  She loved to read and travel, especially her trips to Hawaii where she met her dear friends Allen and Jane Beldin.  Vivien was honored to have great friends who enjoyed going for lunch and visiting.

Vivien was preceded in death by her parents.
