Wanda K. Lovell, 74, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Lighthouse Ministries, 1333 4th Avenue North, with Rev. John Elkin officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Lighthouse Ministries and continue one hour prior to the church service. Interment will take place at North Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.
Wanda was born March 21, 1949, in Emmetsburg, IA, the daughter of Kenneth B. and Marilyn R. (Wood) Fogelman. She graduated from Estherville High School in 1967, and continued her education at Trinity Bible College – graduating in 1969. On April 20, 2002, she was united in marriage to David Lovell at Lighthouse Ministries. Wanda worked as a nurse’s aide for most of her life and retired in 2005. Wanda enjoyed coloring, crafts, singing and shopping – especially at Kohls.
Wanda is survived by her husband of 21 years: David Lovell of Fort Dodge; her daughter: Crystal Gentry and husband Coleman of Sand Springs, OK; 2 grandchildren: Carter and Camry; 6 siblings: Connie Elkin and husband John, LaVonne Pringle and husband Monte, Carole Panzi and husband Kevin, David Fogelman and wife Heather, Janice Johnson and husband Jeff, and Vickie Reeck and husband Matt – all of Fort Dodge; brother-in-law: Larry Lovell and wife Merna of Waverly, IA; and sister-in-law: Gail Fink and husband Rolland of Lincoln, IA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 siblings: Gail Fogelman and John Fogelman; and 2 nephews: Alexander Jensen and Benjamin Johnson.
