William Willard Leduc, son of William and Gladys (Rhoades) Leduc  was born  December 6, 1935 at his grandparents farm east of Graettinger, Iowa.  He attended one-room country schools and Graettinger High School. He served in the United States Marine Corp. After his service, he returned to Iowa and then settled in Fairmont, Minnesota where he drove truck for Blachowske Trucking. Willie married Louise Thomas and to this union four children were born; Deb, Mike, Mark, and Deanna.  After Louises death he was united in marriage to Vivian Urban and to this union one daughter Lisa was born. William continued his career, driving semi across the country for almost 50 years and received his 5 million mile accident free award. He was proud to have driven in every state except Alaska, Rhode Island and Hawaii. In 2013, William had a slight stroke and had to retire from driving. After his retirement, you would see him cruising around Graettinger in his golf cart painted to match the semi he used to drive.

William Willard Leduc passed away at the Ruthven Community Care Center on March 17, 2016, at the age of 80 years, 3 months, and 11 days.
