Francis R. “Butch” Blair, 74, of Webster City, IA, died Monday, May 15, 2023, at his home.  Private family graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.

Francis was born September 5, 1948, in Fort Dodge, the son of Robert and Evelyn (Smith) Blair.  He attended Fort Dodge Senior High.  On September 30, 1968, he was united in marriage to Linda Sue Henry in Fort Dodge.  For 50+ years, Butch drove truck until his retirement in 2018.  In 1991, he was in the National Truck Rodeo Championship and won the 5 Million Mile Award at the State Champion Truck Rodeo.   His son-in-law, Jerry also drove truck for him.  Butch enjoyed spending time with his family and taking care of his dog:  Rosco.  He also enjoyed fishing, bowling in his younger years, casino games on the tablet, and reading books.

Butch is survived by his wife of 54 years:  Linda Blair of Webster City; 4 children:  Robert Blair and wife Diane of Fort Dodge, Mark Blair and wife Kelly of Williams, IA, Francis “Butch” Blair Jr. of Fort Dodge, and Tammy Grady and husband Jerry of Fort Dodge; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and sister:  Toni Schmalen and husband Rick of Fort Dodge.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sisters:  Roberta Blair and Linda Klein.
