February 11, 1941 ~ November 10, 2023 (age 82) 82 Years Old
LaDonna Louise Loehr Rugg, age 82 of Story City formerly Eagle Grove and Corydon, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, at UnityPoint Health - Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 11:30 AM at Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge. Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:30 at Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge.
LaDonna Louise was born on February 11, 1941 to Clifford and Neva (Morris) Loehr in Somers, Iowa. She graduated from Somers High School in 1959. On February 12, 1961, LaDonna was united in marriage to Larry G. Rugg at the Methodist Church in Somers, IA. To their union three sons were born: Larry, Lonny and Lantz. The marriage later dissolved.
LaDonna very much enjoyed her work Voltmaster, Inc. as Accounting Manager.
LaDonna’s greatest joys were gardening, bird watching, motorcycle riding and most of all her beloved family.
LaDonna is survived by her sons Larry Rugg of Stanhope and Lantz (Diane) Rugg of Nevada; daughter-in-law Renee Rugg of New Providence; four grandchildren: Ronny (Mallory), Kenny, and Laura Rugg and Marissa (Steven) Welch, and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Lonny Rugg, daughter-in-law Rondella Rugg, and four brothers: Clifford, Bobby, David and Kenneth Loehr.
Memorials may be directed to the family, to a church/charity of your choice or plant a tree in honor of LaDonna. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.
