Randall Lee Jameson

Randall L. Jameson, 67, of Greenfield, IA, died Saturday, February 8, 2020, at the Greenfield Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 17, 2020, at the United Methodist Church, 510 N. 1st Street – Fontanelle, IA with Pastor Cathy Nutting officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the church service. Inurnment will take place in the Greenfield Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Randall Lee Jameson was born November 7, 1952, in Greenfield, the son of Delores (Ruch) and Robert Jameson Sr. He graduated from Bridgewater-Fontanelle High School in 1970. On October 19, 1974, he was united in marriage to Barbara Jean “Bobbi” Barton in Newton, IA. Randy started and ran Southern Lumber Yard in Des Moines, Kansas City, MO, and Cedar Rapids, IA before coming back home to help dad and brother with Jameson Feed and Grain in Bridgewater. He then managed Farmers Lumber Yard before retiring. He was diagnosed with Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2014. Randall became a nursing home resident on February 27, 2017, where remained until his death. Randall enjoyed spending time with and being around family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, playing pool and Skillet Days in Macksburg.

Randall is survived by his son: Jason Jameson and his friend Tiffany of Colfax, IA; sister: Vicki Eshelman and husband Jerry of Greenfield; and sister-in-law: Jeanne Jameson of Bridgewater, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 1995; brother: Robert “Bobbie” Jameson Jr.; and a niece: Sheri Metzger.
