Sharon Kay (Von Hagen) Clark, 78, of Graettinger, IA, went to Heaven Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Unity Point – Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, IA. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Harvest Baptist Church, 614 2nd Avenue South – Fort Dodge, with Pastor Marvin Smith III officiating. Services will be live streamed via the Historic Bruce Funeral Home Facebook page. Memorials may be directed to the family in C/O Dan Friesner, 2601 Hulett Avenue, Faribault, MN 55021.

Sharon was born July 30, 1943, in Estherville, IA, the daughter of Vern (Bud) and Martha (Nelson) Von Hagen. She graduated from Lincoln Central High School in Gruver, IA in 1961. Sharon was united in marriage to John Friesner, and to this union 3 children were born: Todd, Brenda and Dan. The couple later divorced. Sharon then married her soulmate Jim Clark on May 16, 1978. They made their home in Estherville, Emmetsburg, Ft Dodge and rural Graettinger. Sharon was a homemaker and very active in her church. She was a proud member of Harvest Baptist Church in Ft Dodge. Sharon enjoyed traveling, crafts, sewing and spending time with her children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Sharon was lovingly referred to as Aunt Sharon or Grandma Sharon by children she and Jim had welcomed into their lives over the years. She enjoyed being a foster parent to many children and her home was always open to anyone in need of help. Sharon had a big heart and always saw the good in everyone.

Sharon is survived by her brothers: David (Diana) Von Hagen of Estherville, IA and Michael (Sharon) Von Hagen of Hudson, FL; 3 children: Todd Friesner of Graettinger, IA; Brenda Hanson of Graettinger, IA; and Dan (Stephanie) Friesner of Faribault, MN; step-children: James (Jim) Jr. (Sue) Clark of Lake Park, lA; Terry (Corrilla) Clark of Hinckley, MN; John (Julie) Clark of Estherville, IA; Dave (Amy) Clark of Kalispell, MT; four adopted children: Sherina, James, Michael and Steven; 22 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Vern (Bud) and Martha Von Hagen; her husband Jim; her brother Alan Von Hagen; her step-children: Richard Clark, Mary Larsen and Bill Clark; 2 grandchildren and special daughter: Hanna.
