Steven Craig Obituary

Steven L. Craig, 58, of Clare, IA, died Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at his home. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Steven was born September 3, 1963, in Iowa City, IA, the son of Betty L. (Craig) and Maurice L. Brain. In 1982, he graduated from Cedar Valley High School in Farnhamville, IA. He served in the U.S. Army (82nd Airborne Division) from 1982 – 1984. He had a love for adrenalin and enjoyed skydiving. He also enjoyed traveling and fabricating things from “weird shit”. Steven was very artistic and built a couple homes over the years. He was a member of Winds of Fire Church.

Steven is survived by his son: Matthew Schoon of Manson, IA; 2 grandchildren: Kaylie and Cameron; sister: Shelly Hepp (Boyd Saliger) of Lohrville, IA; and step-father: Maruice Brain of Farnhamville.

He was preceded in death by his mother: Betty Brain.
