Victor Crouse, 59 of Fort Dodge, passed away April 13th, 2017, with his family and close friends beside him. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 23rd, 2017 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Funeral services will be on Monday, April 24th, 2017 at 2:00pm, both services will be held at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge.

Victor LuAlbert Crouse was born on April 3rd, 1958 in Iowa City to Albert and Ronda (Fuller) Crouse. He was raised in the Fort Dodge area, and attended school there, graduating in 1976 from the Senior High School. Shortly after graduation Vic joined the Marine Corps, he was discharged honorably, after a short period of time. He has always been a proud supporter of the men and women that protect and serve our country. After his return home, he attended culinary school in Minnesota, then came back to Fort Dodge to Manage the Truck Stop Café as the head Chef. Vic also worked as an insurance agent for Combine Insurance Company; he was forced to retire early due to health reasons. He was joined in marriage to Dorothy Stanley on July, 30th, 1994 at the Native American Cultural Center in Fort Dodge.

Victor had many hobbies including riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, archery, and target shooting with his various firearms. He was also very passionate about Native American history and culture. Helping to shape our youth by being involved with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts was a big deal to him, a lot of time was spent sorting, and delivering popcorn, nuts and cookies. Vic believed in family, by blood as well as love, he is know by many as "Uncle Vic" picking up new members of his family along his journey through life.

Vic was an active member of the American Legion Riders Post 510, ABATE District 10, Patriot Guard Riders and Sons of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy, his children; Angel Crouse and her husband Toby Flint-Bozeman, Mariah Crouse, (Little) Victor Crouse, Allen Lavanway, and Don (Jacob) Crouse-Lavanway, his siblings; Robin Crouse and Riza Paterson. Vic was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Rhonda Crouse, nephew Don Lavanway.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge.
